A progress report

I started this quilt top in April this year at the quilt a way weekend I attended. It's been on and off my design wall ever since.  When I saw the New Wave pattern by Oh! Franson I knew immediately I wanted to make it but I hadn't decided on the fabric. While I was in SC over spring break, 2 of my quilting pals met up with me.  We went fabric shopping, of course.  The one fabric shop had Anna Maria Horner's Voile and Eden by Lila Tueller. I love Eden ....mostly because of the combination of yellow and purple. My 3 year old LOVES purple. The shop had 30% off sale that day if you bought 1/2 yard or more. I calculated that the quilt only needs 1/3 yard. So my friend and I bought 2/3 yd. of 10 prints and split it!

When I got home, I added 2 more purple prints from different fabric lines, and decided on pale yellow bella solid for the sashings.
It was a bit of a challenge getting the points to line up..but for the most part I did.
Now I can't wait to have it quilted.

In the meantime, I have been working on the Giant Pincushion Sew Along.
It's coming soon...
