Minny Muu has arrived!

When I first opened my etsy shop I really intended to sell my stash,
my quilt patterns and my book.
Then I started seeing some really great fabrics being released.
The temptation was just too much I guess and
I started buying a bolt here and a bolt there.
Especially Japanese manufacturers because they were more difficult to
find at any local quilt shops.
Recently, Lecien released the new 2014 Minny Muu
fabric line.
I decided to buy the entire line of fabric.

I am completely smitten with it.
I loved the original Minny Muu and
this line doesn't disappoint.
Similar color ranges, tiny flowers, animals and letters.

I have spent the entire weekend cutting fat quarters, fat eighths, 5" charms,
2 1/2" squares and even set of 2 1/2" strips like a jelly roll.

Next task is designing a quilt or project to make with the line.
I am trying to decide if I should split it warm and cool colors or mix it all up.
I'll likely go with mixing it up.
I hope to post a finish soon!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patty's Day.

I'm a bit late posting today.
Work was a bit intense.

We've had 2 birthdays in the last 4 days and so it's also been intense at home.
Typical days maybe?
I haven't sewn in the last couple of days as my husband and I have decided to
"work" on the basement for 30 minutes a day.
We call the basement 'the last frontier' of organizing.
I really can't wait to finish the basement so I can get back to sewing!

Another Bunny

I haven't been the best blogger but I'm trying to change that.
I started this table runner at least 3-4 years ago.

I had it machine quilted and all it really needed was
button and embroidery but I just couldn't find the time to finish it.
My Elly caught a glimpse of it while I was organizing my WIPs
and she demanded I finish it.
I'm very glad I did.
It's all ready for Easter this year.

Speaking of Easter, I found a really pretty wreath at Walmart that I couldn't pass up.
Isn't it pretty?

Which Way?

Last weekend I made a trip to my local quilt shop in Jeromesville, Ohio.
With the weather stinking lately I hadn't stopped in a few months.
I started to pick out fabric for a St. Patrick's Day green theme table runner.
I ended up with a lovely rainbow of floral fabrics and the
Which Way pattern by G.E. Designs.

I added several prints from my trip to Japan in January
to give it a more Spring twist and background Posie by Aneela Hoey.

Love this stack.
It's so happy.

This pattern was so easy and it only
took me about 2 hours to make the quilted top.

Binding took another hour.
I use the clover wonder clips for binding.

Now I want to make one for each season!
I liked the pattern so much I have some listed in my etsy shop.
