Ah the last night

It's our last night here in the warmth...it was one of the warmest so far this spring at about 80 degrees. I spent the morning with the girls and then went off for a pedicure while DD2 slept. I walked with the girls around the neighborhood. Took an afternoon nap with the baby and headed to my friend Marilyn's for a couple of hours with DD1. She loves Marilyn's Dog, Duffy. We chatted up quilting and how I managed all those good deals. She showed me her list of WIP's ....showed me her latest projects. I finished a binding on my latest small quilt for DD2's bedroom wall. We had a great time. My husband worked half the day water sealing the porches...we have 3 porches! So he was super productive today too. Once it was close to dinner we decided to go out with both families together. So we headed to the local Scottish Pub and Grill Quigley's and had some of THE best food and more conversation. It was a great day.

Here's the little quilt....I used leftover pieces from making strip sets for a 4-patch quilt. I used size 8 pearl cotton for the quilting which I did by hand. No, it's not perfect but it was easy to make, fast, cute and fun. A close up shows a bit that I used different colors of pearl cotton. I don't have my photoshop here to make the colors POP like they should. IF I have time when I get home I may correct the color and repost the picture...we'll see.

I have several little projects I am still working on...stitcheries, a binding on another small quilt and I started knitting 2 socks on 2 circulars...sooo hoping to have another project to blog soon...
