This WAS a knitting blog...

It was. I started my blog in 2005 as Mid-Ohio Knitter.
I was determined to make my own knitting patterns and tutorials.
I am not sure what actually enticed me to start back to quilting more but I did.
I kind of abandoned several knitting projects when I dove in quilting again.
This is one of the abandoned scarves.

It's knit in Manos del Uruguay kettle dyed wool which I love.
I knit some while in Texas and I just can't stop knitting on it.
It's addicting but surely cuts into my quilting time LOL!
It's a quick scarf pattern from Interweave Knits a few years ago.
...just might finish it this year!

I love your scarf. I think the knitting bug has hit me too. I had not knitted since I was a kid, but last year when I sprained my foot I picked up the needles again. And then this year, after a fall and a back fracture, well, I've made 4 scarves already. Yesterday my daughter and I went to Micheal's cause they are having a huge yarn sale. Yes, I bought some of the wonderful satin yarn ;-)

That yarn is just gorgeous and makes such a pretty scarf. I always have a knitting project in the works when we travel by car. It is such a relaxing way to spend the time while being a passenger, but quilting takes up my time when I am home.

Love the scarf, the yarn is so beautiful. I'm a reader and quilting has cut into my reading, big time.

I've been knitting also; last year it was scarves, and this year it's dish cloths. Great relaxing thing to do in the evenings. Your scarf is really pretty.

It looks so warm and pretty. I don't get where you find the time to do all your crafty stuff. Do you sleep ever?

I love it! Maybe you could knit while figuring out your next quilting project.

I like to knit a little too. I'm taking a class in January to learn how to knit socks.

So pretty- I think I have a skein of this in my stash. I understand the constant push and pull of "do I want to knit?" or "do I want to quilt?" - it is always so hard to choose. I think we all need more hours in a day!

Hi Vickie! Beautiful yarn! I love that stuff! I too have picked up my knitting again this fall (partly out of disenchantment with the quilt industry) as I always seem to do every fall- it helps me get unblocked creatively when the quilt ideas just won't come for whatever reason!! I do feel like it is nice to go back and forth but agree I need more hours in the day to do both hobbies! LOL! I enjoy seeing both on your blog though. Hope you had a great Christmas and have a happy New Years too!
