French Roses

I couldn't wait to take pictures of this finished quilt top.
I mean one I can show?
That's unheard of lately. :)

I began this quilt about 3 years ago, when my friend Jane was still working for me.
She and I pretty much used the same fabric for it
and were both on the hunt for that border...
which we found.
I think her quilt has been done for 3 years!
LOL
that is my life's story.
She finished and mine went in a pile of UFO's.
til this week.

I love these fabrics,
they are called Darla by Tanya Whelan
and the pattern is French Roses by Heather French.
I am sending it off this week to Natalia of Piece n Quilt
and see if she can work some magic for me...
well I know she can....
and I REALLY can't wait to see it quilted.

I remember this pattern. I think it is beautiful and would be wonderful for a little girl: I have nothing but grandsons.

I am excited to see this quilted! I have mine in a box - and its been there for years with the pattern and fabric I want to use... this was a great reminder - I still really want to make this quilt! Yours looks great!

I made this 5 years ago when I was recovering from chemo. It was in the magazine that came out supporting the cause. I have not "quilted" it yet, so anxious to see what she does with yours!! I love the fabrics you chose, mine are Moda and some Kaffe ..

Vicki, did you leave the edges raw on your roses, or are they appliqued ? I called everywhere looking for the fabric that was in the border print in the magazine, is this it?

This is gorgeous; a girl in one of my guilds made this quilt and we were all envious. She made hers with light pastels, but it would be equally cute with brights I think. Lovely.
