My favorite tutorial is the Sugar cube pincushions!!! I LOVE CANDY and lately, pincushions have been almost an obsession... the sugar cubes are on the top of the list to make!

Becky said...

I don't know if this is a type of fabric but I seem to love everything by the Moda designers:) My favorites are the designs by 3 Sisters, but I love the patriotic designs by Minnick and Simpson, too. I do like reproduction fabrics especially civil war repros.

Take care!

Kasey said...

My favorite fabric style is BRIGHT. While I love the history behind some classics like civil war prints and shirtings, I love color, lots and lots of color-- perhaps as a reaction to all the sadness that surrounded me for so long. It's approaching a year since my dad lost his 10 year battle with cancer, and when I had a melt-down yesterday, I cured it by heading to my sewing area and playing with fabric-- BRIGHT fabric. My little sewing caddy borders on obnoxious when seen in person, so I love it.

Lovie said...

Fabric style - changes day by day. Most of my stash is 30's fabrics. Currently I am drawn to the bright colors, but am also gathering red/cream/blue for patrotic quilts. Basic when it comes to fabric and quilting - all fabrics are my favorites,

Marcia W. said...

Of your tutorials, my favorite is the Figgy Four Patch.

Marcia W. said...

My favorite fabrics tend to be modern or batiks or floral. Unfortunately, I cannot own all that I want!

Mary said...

My favorite tutorial is the patriotic pinwheels, because I love the way you sewed all the way around the square and then cut diagonally to get the four half-square triangles. What a wonderful idea! I can't think of how many times I've just sewn four sets of triangle pairs, and how much hard that is to do.
Congrats on 600 posts.

Mary said...

I don't have a blog, because I have such slow internet service and I would probably pull my hair out every time I tried to download anything. Me with a bald head would not make a pretty sight. BUT... if I did have a blog I would be spreading the word about your wonderful blog with all the awesome things you show us - even though it takes me a while to be able to see them.

Hmm, I guess my favorite fabric is more based on colors than any particular time period or style, though I do tend to lead towards a simplistic elegance sort of look usually. But I love bright, vibrant colors, and certain hues just call to me from the shelves. :)
