It's been how long since my last blog post?
Time goes quick.
There's been a few things going on.
First, my husband was out of town for a week.
While he was gone, I took my 5 year old to a pediactric otolaryngologist.
Her regular ENT thought there was something wrong with her right ear.
Turns out that after driving an hour and a half,
waiting 2 hours and such,
that she has NOTHING wrong with her ear.
One pleasantry of the whole specialist trip up north,
was in fact,
that it was located 6 miles from J'Ellen's house of fabric.
No I didn't plan it that way, I just got lucky.
The girls and I set a time limit at Joyce's shop and we stuck to it!
I picked up some new Notebook by Sweetwater
and Honey Honey by Kate Spain.
We decided to make it an adventure so to speak,
and we found a Whole Foods near the doctors' office.
We bought bread, cookies and breakfast items.
Nothing perishable since I wasn't planning this stop.
It was perfect for snacks after such a long doctors office wait.
Glad I found a Whole foods so close to the quilt shop
as it now be on my list every time I go to J'Ellens'.
Anyhow, I attempted to foundation paper piece a new pattern.
It was a flop and I had to start over.
Well I haven't actually started it over yet.
Then I pulled some green stash for inspiration.
I haven't sewn anything yet.
And I bought a few black and white prints from Pink Castle Fabrics.
I think they are having a moving sale right now of 15%. Moving15 is the code.
You might also want to note that the Fat Quarter Shop has a code 20% off
for a couple more days. As a bonus for those who follow twitter and talk on Tuesday with Cara Quilts.
It's Talknt20 , I used mine. Use yours ;)
and no I get no kick backs from this...just passing on the sale information...
I believe it's called "enabling".
I love JEllens and go up as often as I can. I also have wanted to try a Whole Foods and googled it once to see if there were any in the Cleveland area. Is it on Mayfield Rd. also?? Thanks for the heads up on the discount.
They have some cool stuff in whole foods. You got some nice fabrics to play with. Thanks for the coupon code.
I love those greens and those black/whites. It will be fun to see what you come up with to use them in.
