Good stuff back

I am so fortunate to have found a gentleman to do some machine quilting for me. I have a Mega Quilter but I haven't gotten it assembled since we moved...um 14 months ago!!!!! Anyhow, I was introduced to a guy that does computerized stitching with an HQ 16 and ONLY does overall patterns. I just happened to have like 9 big quilts waiting to be quilted....whenever I assembled my mega quilter....ah that could be another year. So I gathered up 6 of the quilts I wanted done that didn't require any custom quilting. He just finished 2 and had the 3rd on his machine and told me he'd start the 4th in a few days. I brought home the first 2. I am very pleased with the results so far. The quilt in 1930's blues and yellow was a pattern I did myself. I drew a star and appliqued them on then decided to make a bunch of 9-patches to set with them. Here's is a close up of the stitching...in which he used a light blue thread and overall star pattern.
This quilt I made for my mom LAST mother's day 2007!!!!!!!!! I am serious. She's a hairdresser and the prints are ladies getting their nails done and under the dryer etc...it's cute for her.
He chose a "bikini" meander...but I call it bra and underwear LOL.
