More mail goodies...

Here are 2 more quilts I sent Jackie at Canton Village Quilt Works. I pieced and appliqued this quilt about 7 years ago. "French Rose" was a kit at the Glass Thimble in Columbus, Ohio. It can be found in the book by Cabbage Rose called "Threads of Time". My MIL made one as well and wanted to quilt it but didn't know how. I volunteered to teach her...thus I quilted her whole quilt...so mine lay unquilted for years...until now..... Here's a close up of the flowers...

And the border....which will I think end up scalloped. This pattern

And here's one of the Baby Fats quilts...simple and starry... I am just happy that I will have a few baby quilts on hand for future mommies...

Now I have to get started on the bindings!

Fabric buying spree....

Here's my awesome fabric buys last weekend...all 50% off...and I am serious....Kaffe Fassett, Heather Bailey, Lila Tueller, and Amy Butler...I bought quilt backs and borders to go along with some yardage I had left from another quilt. The rest is to add to my inspiration pile... I saved my husband soooo much $$$$ LOL.

I am headed back tomorrow to pick up a few more prints...not as much as the first visit though.

A fine day...

I received 2 of my 4 quilts from Jackie today....They are AWESOME. I think I posted these back in January..before I sent them to her. She did a very quick turn around.
A close up of the quilting...they are busy fabrics so it was difficult to get a great picture.
This is so pretty..now I wish I'd made it queen size~ and the batting is silky soft....but I can't remember what I sent Doh! I think it was bamboo batting...Hey maybe Jackie can remember??

Here's the up close......
So I decided to get the bindings out for them tonight...only to realize that I didn't make the bindings yet...I have literally 20 bindings done...not a one for these 2 quilts....I'm not sure how I managed that.
