Aunt Ruthie's Farm Stand

Yep Aunt Ruthie's Farm Stand is available in my etsy shop.

I first noticed it as quilt market. This was the best picture I could get.
I tried to get the attention of red rooster reps with no acknowledgement...I gave up.
A day after market, I couldn't get this fabric line out of my head.
I went online and found another Rep, Chris, and he set me up immediately.

I am so happy I didn't give up.

It really is a beautiful line of fabric.
It is different than any I have seen recently.
I am also excited that someone did mason "ball jar" fabric.
Love It!!

It's on my etsy site.
I take custom requests if you are looking for specific prints and yardage!

Fun Size Quilts and a Giveaway!!

Karen Burns of Martingale compiled a book of fun sized quilts
from several quilting designers.
Each quilt is about the size or less of a fat quarter
and can be made with fat quarters too!

My Fun Sized quilt is called Particularly Joyful
It was created with Basic Grey's fabric line 'Curio' by Moda,
a beautiful line of fabric that I was certain would become a quilt....
just not immediately.
I let Curio 'age' on my stash self for a couple of years before I made this quilt.
Choosing fabric, creating patterns and hand sewing all make me
particularly joyful...hence the name.

There was one other quilt in the book that caught my eye immediately.
To Do List, and it's on my to do list for my sewing area.

If you would like to win an e-copy of the book Fun Sized Quilts from Martingale,
leave a comment about what part of sewing, quilting or crafting....
makes you particularly joyful.
I'll choose a winner on July 30th.
If you want 15 more chances to win, stop by Martingale's Blog to see the list of contributing authors and how to enter their giveaway.
thank,

Holidays, a sale, and a short bag

I first would like to say I hope you have a happy and safe Fourth of July!
I have made a quick trip to Florida to retrieve my kiddos from their grandparents.
In the mean time my etsy shop is up and running with a sale on every item!!
A quarter off for the 4th!.
There's no code as it's all listed with the sale prices right there.

I recently tried a new bag pattern from This and That called Short and Sweet.
It is adorable and very simple.

I picked out a mini charm pack moda candy Pedal Pushers
by Lauren and Jessi Jung and I started cutting.

I finished one short bag which is perfect for 3-4 pens in my purse.
If you are looking for a pattern for gifts or a teen /tween this pattern is perfect.
They sew up so fast!
Anyhow, I think I'm going to make one or 2 from from Old New 30s.

I still haven't gotten over how pretty this fabric is.
Are you into the 30's reproductions?
