Planes, Trains and Automobiles

That's right, last Thursday while on our way to Florida, we traveled on a plane, train and automobile...AND a boat!
It was Elly's first time on a plane, train or a boat! When the plane took off, she said "this is awesome".
Boy was I relieved.
It could have gotten ugly. You just never know how kids will react.
Anyhow, she was such a good girl that I even had a chance to stitch while we flew.
This is another Buttermilk Basin stitchery.

I know it's not January...
however, in my defense...
I didn't have the October stitchery pattern.
I really wanted to stitch one of these up during my trip so I was pleased that I finished it.
Now should I frame it? or make a pillow?
There is a stitchery for each month...so a frame might be best.
I haven't decided yet, but in the mean time I traced February and March!
I see another road trip in my future so going to be prepared.
And I did stitch on my Simple Pleasures as well...so much detail that I still haven't finished another one.
Maybe tonight during Dancing with the Stars??? I'm hoping.

Saturday?

It's Saturday already? How can that be? gosh time flies. Anyhow, I was searching for pictures..something to 'show' you. I have nothing. I have been stitching more Simple Pleasures and yet I don't have a finished square. These last few are more detailed and seem to be taking longer.

So I found some pictures of my daughters Benaroos' creations.
She's quite an artist.
I love how she put the sunflower in with our fake IKEA flowers. She's fun like that.

Unfortunately, she usually doesn't have much interest in fabric.
GASP!
It's true.
My 3 year old does love "favric" and picks out a fat quarter everytime we go to a quilt shop together.
I figure she'll have a good 'stash' of "favric" (her version of fabric) to make a quilt in a couple of years...
No, I don't have pictures, yet.
I plan on taking some soon, like next weekend.
This weekend I am getting 'learned' for my day job. It's really very important.
So you might not 'hear' from me for a few days. We'll see.
If I can get my hands on a camera I will be sure to blog!

Catching up on Wednesday

The comments are now CLOSED for the 600th post giveaway.
I thought I would be able to announce winners today but I have to finish reading comments.
Never fear I will be announcing winners soon !!!

And since a post couldn't ever be without a picture......
I spent last weekend working on WIPs.
I have so many WIPs that I really don't know how many I have.
I just really want to get a grip on them.
This quilt made with a Creative Grids 60 degree ruler and "Darla" by Tanya Whelan.
I am slowly stitching several quilts..wish I could focus on just one but lately I am jumping around a lot.
Ever have weeks or months like that?
I am pretty much into the "months" of jumping projects.
Eventually I will get a grip LOL.

Christmas in October?

I couldn't resist. When I saw Ariane's tutorial for a  festive santa runner,
I immediately checked my Go! cutter stash for the triangle die. I had it! Turns out my office staff gave it to me for Christmas last year.   They picked a great die!
As well, Ariane includes instructions for this project without using a Go! so that's awesome too.

The tutorial for this cute Christmas table runner was featured during the Go! blog hop.  I started to cut it out from my left over fabric from the Peppermint Path quilt I am making. I carefully cut the triangles to get the most of my scraps.
I pieced the runner and now I just have to add the appliques.
I am well on my way, this might just get finished before Christmas, LOL.
