Mini yo-yo WIP....

I started this yo-yo mini quilt about 9 years ago...each yo-yo is about 1/2 inch finished! So it's a WIP and I am hoping to pack it into my project bag I keep handy for sewing at a moments notice.

Ami....Ami..Amigurumi

Have you caught the latest craze? well I picked up this sweet little crochet book at JoAnn's with my 40% off coupon. I am not suppose to crochet but I LOVE these little guys sooo much...I think I want to make this little bear With these yarns from my stash......Ah stash reduction!!woohoo

Here are a few other ami animals I liked in the book. Adorable frogs...

And a kitty that looks like our little Chew Chew (yes our black and white cat is named Chew Chew).

There are tons of free Ami patterns on Lion Brand yarns website. Plus Berroco knits just sent out their newsletter with a knitted ami bird....Ami is EVERYWHERE!!!!!

Little Progress

00I haven't been too productive this week. I did get 2 bindings machine sewn on, now I have to hand sew them.

I DID grab the new Quilt and More...yes I'd like to make about 25 of the projects...Why do I have to work? Anyhow, I noticed Happy Zombie's has a project in this issue and I have almost enough of the Moda Blossom fabrics to make it....so....maybe.

I also saw a really interesting tip in I think SEW NEWS magazine. A crafter used her serger on the edge of a circle and then gathered it as though it were a yo-yo. So the 'raw' edge is serged and is somewhat decorative. I'd like to try that tip...just think of the embellishing.

OH and have you seen the cool wool basket by Betz White? She's full of cool recycling ideas. I was sooo tempted to head to our local goodwill for sweaters but the weather is lousy here.

My Helpers? or Troublemakers???

Well she's just like her mom...loves fabric, the feel of fabric and throwing it about in hopes of "making" something....
My little helper was caught unfolding a bunch of my stash. Doesn't she know how long it took me to fold that??
And this is my other "helper". We call him Little Guy, but by the pictures you can tell he is FAR from little. In fact he weighs as much as the 11 month old! It's one of those names like the 6 ft. 5" tall heavy guy they call Tiny! LOL
I cleared off my cutting table to actually cut something and the darn cat...thought I'd cleared a spot for him!
