Anniversary

It was our 8th anniversary this week. I forgot..completely. I have been so busy that it slipped my mind...until my staff told me there were these beautiful flowers waiting for me. I said "what?" and then..."what's the date today?" LOL....it was my anniversary. My husband remembered but I hadn't. Check out this arrangement. Gorgeous!

And to top it off, when I got home from work he had yet another surprise...this Pandora's box bracelet....G and E for my girls' names and a heart from him. I can't wait to add more charms! It was very thoughtful. Just what I wanted.

I received my awesome Cup o Joe kit from Betz White. I have not made the pincushion yet but I hope to start on it this weekend. Ahhh this weekend...I spent the entire day organizing toys, Barbies mostly...lots of paper art and drawings. It was a huge undertaking but I completed it...well mostly. There a couple of things I am trying to get into the goodwill bag...not sure my daughter will allow it.
I have been playing with some 5 inch charm packets lately and decided to add some rick rack to my repertoire. Walmart stocked tons of colors....I stuck to shades of green. Wondering what I am up to??
A cupcake cookie jar? Is that possible? well I made one. When my sisters were visiting we went to a local pottery shop and sat for an afternoon chatting and painting. I was thinking Susan Branch style...but didn't turn out exactly as I had hoped although cute I think.
I thought I would spruce up my page with these pretty little towels....I LOVE these towels...love the cherries

Back Again thank goodness

I just needed to take a picture of these beautiful crocheted blankets made by a friend for E. Aren't they lovely? The one on the right is a large granny square. I just love the colors. Here's a close up of the mostly yellow one so you can see the details of the stitch...just cool I think. She said she crocheted the all yellow part and went back and over-stitched (is that a term?) the varigated yarn.

These nifty little towels were emboidered by a friend and my mom gave them to me. I am having a real craving to do some dainty stitches since I bought the sublime stitches book last week. Maybe once things settle down here. In the mean time I have these little guys to drool over.

The purple room is E's. It is the only room in the house that is trully put together...except wall decorations. All other rooms have boxes up the waazoo (sp?) Anyhow, I am working on unpacking...or rather I should be right now.
One more for the road......here's G at Cheer camp today. She had a blast and already has future plans to be an Arrow!!
