yeah apparently I have 28 quilted items to bind.
28
I decided that I ought to take inventory of how many quilts I had to bind.
I realized that there were at least 10 I had put in my closet while I was focusing on my book quilts.
Then I sewed some more...
made pattern quilts...
and all the jelly roll quilts for Christmas gifts.
So yah....28
I still can't believe I have 28.
I decided I'd better get to making some more bindings
for these 28 quilts.
I decided I'd better get to making some more bindings
for these 28 quilts.
I made 5 on Sunday night.
I am pretty sure some of these will be all machine sewn.
I just can't imagine I will have time to hand stitch them all.
There will more time to sew them this weekend because
we cancelled our plans and decided
to stay home.
We need a REAL break without driving, flying or staying in hotels.
I believe this is a 'stay-cation'.
I'm going to try to make the best of it.

You need a binding buddy. I have two :) Some people in our group cut the fabric, some do the sewing of the tops, my friend Carla and I do the quilting and then we send them off to our binding buddies. They get 10 or more quilts done in a day! These ladies are incredible :)
Wow - I would love that many ready to bind - it's my very favourite part. I tried binding completely by machine for the first time last week and couldn't believe how quick it was. Still love my hand stitching though. Good luck xx
I couldn't help but smile at your rendition of 28! Can't wait to see them all, I hope you will show them off. Have fun and keep on sewing!
:-)
Yikes! Enjoy that staycation.
Happy Thanksgiving!
28. Wow. Better get crackin'. Enjoy your stay-cation and relax with needle and thread. :)
LOL - if I were closer, I would come help. That's my favorite part! Do you need all 28 for Christmas?
28! Woohoo! It must feel good to be so close to finishing so many projects! Hope you're able to kick back and relax this weekend.
If I still lived in Ashland I would help you bind. I love that part!
I can't imagine 28 unbound quilts but that is because once I get a quilt quilted I can hardly wait for it to be completed so I jump right on the binding. And, I think I will keep on that because I would be so overwhelmed with 28 bindless quilts facing me. ;-) Good luck.
28! Wow! It sounds like a 15-minutes-a-day job.
