getting a head start....

I made some bindings so that I can sew them onto quilts this weekend and prepare hand work to do while I am off the next 2 weeks.
Actually, I am off work for 11 days.
How did I manage that?
I am having surgery again.
This is the last one this year....I hope.
At any rate, I am preparing handwork and english paper piecing to keep me busy.
My mom is coming too which should be a BIG help.

  1. I read your post and it is almost exactly what I could write today! I'm having surgery on Monday for my shoulder and am hoping to work on my first applique project and finish the binding on two quilts.

    Hope your surgery goes well.

    Blessings,
    Darlene

  6. I love to do my bindings first, as then I can look at the colors as I'm making the top and think about the day the quilt is finally done.

    Take care of you!

  7. Good luck with the surgery, and have fun with those hand projects - I actually enjoy the binding part of quiltmaking, do you? Have never tried English paper piecing... scared to actually -- I always love the new things I try and then I have yet another crafty thing to "get into" - ha!
