Jelly Roll Check Quilt Along - A Short Cut Quilt

I love Jelly Rolls.
I am so excited for today's quilt, Jelly Roll Check which is part of the Fat Quarter Shop's Shortcut Quilt Series!
I chose Alpine by Erin Michael from my stash.

This quilt is a fun and fresh design, and you are going to love making it!
All you need is two Jelly Rolls (which are on sale at the Fat Quarter Shop today!) a background fabric and an accent fabric!
The best ruler to use is the Creative Grids 6.5" Square because the non slip keeps the ruler in place when you make your cuts as I have shown here >>

Here is the Short Cut Video available on You-Tube where you can see how it's done >>

This is a super easy to assemble quilt....strips, cuts and sew rows of squares.
My kind of awesome!

Did I mention that there is a Jelly Roll Sale?

Now I NEED to either get this quilted OR do it myself.
I have plans for this one.
You can check out some other color options for this quilt by some of my quilty friends:

Cheryl from Quilter Chic
Kristen from Three in the Nest
Melanie from Mostly Crafty
Tina from Emily Ann's Kloset
Tricia from Notes of Sincerity

Bella Skill Builder Block 3 - The Pineapple

Yes it's the first of the month and
I'm ready to show you my Bella Skill builder blocks for April,
the Pineapple blocks!

The Fat Quarter Shop has created a video to demonstrate how easy this block can be.

I used the Creative Grids Pineapple ruler for my blocks.
Here is just one of the steps in the block.

You line up the 45 degree angle and cut off the excess.
I'll admit, it creates a lot of scraps and trimmings but the result is awesome.

Blocks 1,2 and 3 all together.
I'm loving it. I can't wait for next month's flying geese.
