a pretty re-discovery

While I have been re-organizing I stumbled on these dresden plate blocks.
I made them about 8 years ago using english paper piecing and applique.

Needless to say, I only made 3.

I sure do love them.
1930's fabrics are one of my favorite.
I think instead of a bed sized quilt, I may just turn these into a table runner.
Just thought I'd share.
Turns out there are about 50 unfinished projects that I either haven't finished or haven't blogged about.
You will be seeing more of these in the next days.....

Turning these 3 dresdens into a table runner would be a quick finish. They're cute!

I just found some fabric on clearance at Walmart yesterday.. and fell in love. They are changing theri fabric department back to cutting yardage.. HA... and so all their precuts were on clearance.. I now need to decide what I want to make.

I love your Dresdens! My first thought was to get them out of the box and make a table runner. Now stop blogging and get to working on those UFO's done!!

Beautiful Dresden blocks! Just perfect for a runner! I love the 30s fabrics also!

I don't know about you, but sometimes large projects bog me down, especially when they become UFOs! It really is fun to actually totally finish something, like a runner or table mat!

Have a great day!

It is a perfect pattern for the 1930s fabrics too.

they are very pretty! I made my first dresden plate not too long ago. I only made 2 blocks, which one of them was for a swap between myself and Jennifer (bronze wombat), but I think it turned out alright. I think I might just have to make more soon

Those are great Dresdens - I too found a "forgotten" project or two when I was organizing and they seem like new projects again. Having a bad memory has it advantages - LOL!

They are beautiful--and will make a lovely table runner/wall hanging. Love those 30's fabrics!

It might be a bit painful to count those UFOs, but hopefully you'll smile more than grimace at them!

How funny! I was cleaning a closet yesterday and you wouldn't believe how many unfinished projects I found. Now to decide which ones to work on and which to move a little further back in the closet.
